Mbaracayú Forest Natural Reserve

The Mbaracayú Forest Natural Reserve is representative of two ecosystems of high conservation priority: the Alto Paraná Atlantic Forest (BAAPA) and the Cerrado. It is located in the Department of Canindeyú and is the best managed protected area in Paraguay, where various endemic and threatened species are conserved. 

Tapyta Nature Reserve

The Tapytá Natural Reserve, located in the Department of Caazapá, in Paraguay, has 4.736 hectares and since 2003 it has been managed by the Moisés Bertoni Foundation, which implements various conservation activities there. 

Private Conservation Initiatives

The Foundation promotes the implementation of private conservation models that can be replicated in the country, recognizing that many of the important areas to conserve are in the hands of private owners, that there is little public land and that most governments in the region They lack funds to purchase or adequately protect these areas.
