Alliance with NESTLÉ Paraguay to promote the conservation of forest remnants

The Forest Enrichment Program of the Moisés Bertoni Foundation (FMB) works with small producers who live in the area of influence of the Mbaracayú Forest Natural Reserve, through the planting of native forest species that help reforest the area. and to sustainable production.

Through the program, the conservation of forest remnants on the producers' farms is guaranteed. Families receive technical assistance, inputs and seedlings of native forest species and other profitable items that allow them to take advantage of the forested land without eliminating the trees, generating financial incentives to conserve it and improve the family economy.

The work of the FMB extends beyond the limits of the natural reserves and is actively linked with the inhabitants of the area of influence, in order to propose a comprehensive and inclusive development model throughout the territory. This is possible thanks to alliances such as the one made with NESTLÉ Paraguay for its Nescafé brand, which enables the continuity of the successful program.

This alliance aims to capture approximately 61,1 tons of carbon per year, as a result of the conservation of at least 8 hectares of forest, thus promoting the strengthening of biological corridors around the Mbaracayú Reserve.
