Agreement with the Salesian Society of Paraguay for its environmental education programs

On Monday, March 4, a framework cooperation agreement was signed between the Salesian institution and the Moisés Bertoni Foundation (FMB), with the aim of formalizing the alliance between both institutions, which have been collaborating on several environmental education projects. . The agreement was signed by the executive director of the FMB Yan Speranza and the president of the Salesian Society of Paraguaya Mario Villalba, in an event held at the headquarters of the religious entity.

Through its Environmental Provincial Team, the Salesian Society implements projects to foster environmental awareness, understanding and action through education, promoting sustainable practices and care of the common home through the comprehensive formation of children and young people in the educational institutions and non-formal education spaces. In this context, it carries out the project “Practical implementation of strategic environmental guidelines in schools in Paraguay”, a project that accompanies the FMB through its Education for Sustainable Development management, providing all its experience to jointly build strategies that allow generating awareness in new generations.

The project seeks the insertion of environmental education in the curriculum of the 14 educational institutions that are part of the Salesian Society of Paraguay and other public institutions. As a result, the training of more than 500 teachers and 11.000 students who will receive environmental training is expected.
